Students returning from Kota on Sunday to be quarantined as per protocol
April 25: The Assam Government has made arrangements for bringing back 391 students from Kota. They are on their way back by 18 buses and will be reaching Assam on Sunday. The students have themselves paid Rs. 7,000 per head for the expense of the journey. However, as per protocol. on arrival, they will all be sent for institutional quarantine at at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati.
State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that “All the students as well as officials who were sent to bring them back will be sent for institutional quarantine. We will also collect their swabs after five days for testing.” As per reports, the students coming back will be checked first at Srirampur. If all are in good health condition they will be allowed to travel further and kept under quarantine at Sarusajai.
On their way to Assam from Kota in 18 buses, 391 students were hosted at Kushinagar by BJP MP Sri @Vijaydubeybjp & @DistrictMagist1; served food and given a Budhist locket as memento.

The Assam government air-dropped eight police officers to Kota on Thursday who are accompanying the students back home.
