Strict warning against dumping construction materials on roadsides

way2barak, May 27 :- In a significant move aimed at ensuring public safety and maintaining smooth traffic movement, the Public Works Department has issued an urgent notification for the residents of Silchar and Udharbond constituencies. It has been observed that some people are frequently storing construction materials along roadsides and in public passage areas, creating serious inconvenience for both pedestrians and vehicular traffic. Such practices are also increasing the risk of accidents in various parts of the area.

In view of the growing concern, the department has directed all concerned not to keep or dump any construction materials on roads, drains, or public pathways under any circumstances. The notification clearly states that strict legal action will be initiated against violators as per existing rules and regulations if the instructions are not followed.

The Public Works Department has appealed to the public to treat the matter with utmost urgency and cooperate in maintaining safe and obstruction-free roads for everyone. The notification was issued by Aniruddha Nag, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Silchar and Udharbond Territorial Road Division, Silchar.
