Rumour of Lalu Prasad’s death leads to unrest in Bihar

২৪ নভেম্বরঃ সকালে রটে যায়, লালু্প্রসাদ যাদব রাঁচির হাসপাতালে মারা গিয়েছেন। বিহারের বিভিন্ন প্রান্তে তা দাবানলের মতো ছড়িয়ে পড়ে। লোকজন জড়ো হতে থাকেন পটনার মোড়ে মোড়ে। কেউ কেউ দল বেঁধে রাঁচি যাওয়ার প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছিলেন। দ্রুত হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়ে দেয়, এটা গুজব। প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ভালোই আছেন।

পরে লালুঘনিষ্ট আরজেডি নেতা রঘুবংশ প্রসাদ সিংহ ও কান্তি সিংহ দলনেতার সঙ্গে দেখা করে হাসপাতাল থেকে বেরিয়ে জানান, তিনি বরং এখন আগের চেয়ে ভালো। ক্রমে তাঁর শারীরিক অবস্থার উন্নতি হচ্ছে। এই মৃত্যু-গুজবের পেছনে গেরুয়া বাহিনীর হাত রয়েছে বলেই রঘুবংশবাবুর সন্দেহ। বিজেপি নেতারা বলেন, আশ্চর্য, তাঁরা সবকিছুতেই আমাদের হাত দেখতে পান!

November 24: A rumour spread in the morning that lalu Prasad Yadav died in a hospital at Ranchi. The news spread far and wide in Bihar like wild fire. People started to gather in groups in various points of Patna city. Many of them even were preparing to reach Ranchi. Without wasting much time, the hospital authority had to make an official declaration that Lalu Prasad Yadav is alive. They announced that the former Bihar Minister is doing well in the hospital.

Later on, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders Raghubansh Prasad Singh and Kanti Singh went to meet Lalu Prasad in the hospital and Ranchi. Coming out, they declared that their favourite leader is responding to the treatment and is far better now. Raghubansh Prasad Singh aired suspicion that the saffron brigade is behind the spread of such nasty rumour. In reply, BJP leaders have expressed surprise and remarked that it has become a habit of the political clan to blame BJP for everything.
