24 tests +ve in Cachar on Thursday, tally reaches 11,065
Active cases 115 in Cachar
Dec. 10: On Thursday, a total of 24 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Cachar. During the day, a total of 1644 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done, out of which, 24 persons were found positive, whereas none were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Dr. Ibrahim Ali Ahmed, District Surveillance Officer (DSO), IDSP, Cachar on Thursday night.
With this, the district tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 11,065. Further, a total of 10,913 patients were discharged in the district as of now. Cachar registered a total of 37 COVID-19 deaths till now. At present, there are 115 active cases in the district. It needs mention here that 22 persons were found positive in Cachar on Wednesday.
In his daily briefing, Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on Thursday said that in the last 24 hours, Throat swab of another 587 persons were collected. 221 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, out of which, none tested positive. Further, 545 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done at SMCH in the last 24 hours, out of which, none were found positive.
Apart from this, 01 new patient of COVID-19 were admitted at SMCH in the last 24 hours and 05 were discharged. At present, there are 18 active patients at SMCH, out of which 01 is in semi-critical stage. A total of 06 patients are admitted in ICU, whereas none of them are put under oxygen support and also none are kept in ventilator support. Dr. Gupta further informed that in the last 24 hours, no patients died due to COVID-19 at SMCH.
