Prof. Dipendu Das Participates in National Capacity-Building Workshop on Vigilance Matters at Ranchi

way2barak, Aug 25: Prof. Dipendu Das, of the Department of English and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Assam University, Silchar, officially represented the institution at a two-day national capacity-building workshop on vigilance matters. The intensive programme was held on 24 and 25 August 2026 at the Central University of Jharkhand in Ranchi.

Nominated specifically by Assam University in his official capacity as Chief Vigilance Officer, Prof. Das joined other academic leaders, administrators, and vigilance officers from higher educational institutions across the country to deliberate on institutional governance, transparency protocols, and administrative accountability.

The specialised workshop, designed to strengthen governance mechanisms within central higher educational institutions, was jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education in association with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
