Parimal Suklabaidya takes part in BJPs ‘Seva Sapath’

Sept. 15: BJP president JP Nadda on Monday (September 14) launched a week-long campaign to mark the 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that falls on 17 September. The saffron party will observe ‘Seva Saptah’ week from 14-20 September. PM Modi was born on 17 September, 1950. The ‘Seva Saptah’ campaign aims at helping the needy in various ways like providing food, clothes, blood donations, etc.

Along with the rest of the nation, BJP party workers and leaders in various parts of Cachar district in Assam also involved themselves in ‘Seva Sapath.’ Assam Fisheries, Excise, Forest & Environment minister Parimal Suklabaidya took part in a cleanliness drive in Irongmara Bazar, Cachar under his Dholai Assembly Constituency on Tuesday. The program was organised by BJP Borjalenga Mandal as a part of the nation wide ‘Sewa Saptah’ campaign which has launched under the direction of National President of BJP JP Nadda.

On the occasion, Minister Suklabaidya spoke on the rapid advances made by India in the scientific field under the leadership of the Prime Minister Modi starting with communications, space, armaments, science for innovation and benefit of common people. He also spoke on how the New Education Policy launched by the government would change the face of education in the coming years. The minister also told about the important role of the Prime Minister in the protection of rhinos, elephants and tigers, for which the wildlife in India has got a great boost. He highlighted the PM’s initiative to promote solar power and other forms of renewable energy.

ZP Member of West Dholai Lakshmi Yadav also showed her respect towards the prime minister and spoke in details about the Prime Minister’s effort to make India as one of the leading nations of the world.

During the cleanliness drive, BJPs senior most members including Irongmara GP President Prabir Bhattacharjee, Borjalenga Block AP President Subodh Das, Borjalenga Mandal BJP President Sushil Ranjan Dhar, General Secretary Sushanta Gupta, Bishnu Dayal Goala, Sujit Das were present.

All state unit chiefs have been sent circulars with a list of programmes to be carried out during ‘Seva Saptah’.  Presentation of artificial limbs and other equipment to 70 differently-abled people in every Mandal of the country, presentation of spectacles to 70 blind people, cleanliness drives in 70 villages of every district and distribution of fruits in 70 hospitals and poor colonies are some of the activities that will be carried out by BJP leaders, the circular said. The party has also asked leaders to make arrangement for donation of plasma to 70 Covid-19 patients on this occasion. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha led by Poonam Mahajan has been asked to organise at least 70 blood donation camps in big states and at least one donation camp in every district of small states, the circular added.
