Out of 29,647 tests done on Tuesday, 2073 found positive in Assam; 8 deaths registered

Sept. 22: On Tuesday, a  total of 29,647 tests were done in the state, out of which, 2,073 were detected as positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,59,320, out of which 31,404 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2073 #COVID cases detected today out of 29647 tests. Positivity Rate- 6.99% Kamrup M- 344; Dibrugarh- 168; Jorhat- 166; Golaghat- 125.”

Further, during the day, another 08 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 586.
