মাসিমপুরে বরাক নদী থেকে অজ্ঞাত লাশ উদ্ধার

২১ অক্টোবর : শিলচরের অদূরে থাকা মাছিমপুরের বরাক নদী থেকে পুলিশ অজ্ঞাত পরিচয় এক ব্যক্তির পচাগলা লাশ রবিবার উদ্ধার করেছে। এ দিন মৃতদেহটি প্রথম স্থানীয়দের নজরে আসে। খবর পাঠানো হয় বড়খলা থানায়। পরে পুলিশ এসে লাশটি উদ্ধার করে। পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, মৃতের বয়স অনুমানিক ৪০ হবে। পরনে ছিল লাল শার্ট  ও জিন্স প্যান্ট। হাতে একটি গ্লাভসও ছিল বলে পুলিশ জানায়।

বড়খলা পুলিশ মৃতদেহটি উদ্ধার করে শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজের  মর্গে পাঠিয়েছে। তবে এটি খুন না আত্মহত্যা সে ব্যাপারে এখনও নিশ্চিত হতে পারেনি পুলিশ। পুলিশের এক আধিকারিক জানান, তদন্তের স্বার্থে সবকিছু এখনই খুলে বলা যাবে না। বর্তমানে লাশটি নিকটাত্মীয়দের পরিচয়ের জন্য ৭২ ঘণ্টা মর্গে থাকবে।

October 21: Police has recovered a decomposed body of an unidentified person from river Barak at Masimpur. On Sunday, local people noticed that body floating in the river. At once, they informed the police. Police forces from Borkhola came and recovered the dead body. Police sources has informed that the age of the deceased will be around 40 and had a red shirt and jeans pant on its body. There was also a glove in the hand of the body.

Borkhola police has sent the dead body in the morgue of Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Police is, however, not certain at this moment whether it is a case of murder or suicide. A police official told that for the sake of investigation, further details cannot be divulged at this moment. The deadbody will be kept in the morgue for next 72 hours for the purpose of identification by his relatives.
