Passengers to go to home districts on 26 April from Cachar should report to nearest police station at 8 AM
April 25: The government of Assam has permitted inter-district movement of persons who want to go to their home district after observing all necessary formalities and as per MHA guidelines. A 3-day window has been announced by the Assam government in this connection. Those without their own vehicles have registered themselves through the helpline No. 104. Three days, 25, 26 & 27 April has been earmarked by Assam government for this purpose.
In an urgent notification issued by Sumit Sattawan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, it was informed that all passengers who have registered at ‘104’ helpline and going towards Kamrup, Kamrup Metro, Nagaon, Karimganj and Hailakandi should report on 26 April at 8 AM at their nearest Police Station/ Outpost. From there, they will be taken to ISBT by vehicles arranged by district administration. However, before that police will be checking the sms sent to the mobile phone of the passengers. They will have to board the respective buses at ISBT Ramnagar as per the information provided in the sms.
