Out of 19,318 tests done on Sunday, 1227 found positive in Assam; 14 deaths registered
Active cases 30,575 in Assam
Sept. 20: On Sunday, there was a sharp decline both in the number of tests and the number of fresh cases of COVID-19. A total of 19,318 tests were performed in the state, out of which, 1227 were detected as positive. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,56,680, out of which 30,575 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 1227 #COVID cases detected today out of 19318 tests. Positivity Rate- 6.35% Kamrup M- 327; Jorhat- 114.”
Further, during the day, another 14 persons died due to COVID-19, thereby taking the death toll of the state to 562.
