NPS Employees’ Association to observe ‘Black Day’ on 1 Feb in demand of restoration of OPS

Jan. 29: All Assam Govt. NPS Employees’ Association has decided to observe 1 February, 2022 as “Black Day.” The association has urged upon all state government employees to extend whole hearted support to the National Protest Day against New Pension Scheme (NPS) and restoration of Old Pension Scheme (OPS). During the day, all employees will protest by wearing black badge during office hours.

Responding to the call of “All Assam Govt. NPS Employees’ Association”, Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA) responded positively and decided to extended wholehearted support in this ‘legitimate struggle’. ACTA President Himangshu Maral and General Secretary Jayanta Baruah stated, “We appeal all our esteemed members to observe this as ‘BLACK DAY’ by wearing black badge during the college time. We request all the Office bearers, CEC members, Presidents and Secretaries of Zonal Committees and the Presidents and Secretaries of the Units kindly to take necessary initiative in this regard to make the said programme a grand success.”
