Assam Govt gives ₹25,000 each to 4,841 schools that secured A+ grade in Gunotsav

way2brak, Dec.25: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday distributed ₹25,000 to each of the 4,841 schools that secured A+ grade during Gunotsav, 2022. He also awarded districts with highest number of A+ grade schools with 1st, 2nd & 3rd prizes. The programme organised by Department of School Education, Govt of Assam at the Veterinary Playground, Khanapara, Guwahati.

“I’m sure our humble initiative to evaluate schools & grade them will improve education scenario in Assam,” stated the Chief Minister. He upholded the positive aspects of Gunotsav in elevating the academic atmosphere of the schools. He said, “Gunotsav is not mere an Utsav for 3 days, but rather for 365 days. It is for 3 days only for the External Evaluators but for the teachers it is for round the year.”

Also present during the occasion were cabinet ministers Dr Ranoj Pegu, Ajanta Neog, Atul Bora, Pijush Hazarika, Jayanta Mallah Baruah, Chandra Mohan Patoway and Ranjit Kumar Dass among others and Dr Nani Gopal Mahanta, Education Adviser to the Govt of Assam.

Meanwhile, Assam govt has already declared that Gunotsav 2023 will take place in 3 phases in all 33 districts of Assam in February- March 2023.
