New guidelines for Covid test of incoming passengers in Assam from 1 Nov

Oct. 18: Post-Durga Puja, Assam government is contemplating to introduce new rules for incoming passengers. State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that a person need not have to undergo COVID-19 test, if he/she has done it 48 hours prior to the arrival. This new rule may in all possibility be introduced in Assam from 1 November. The minister further said that results of the RT-PCR tests would be available on the ICMR portal.
