Moving car catches fire near GC College, 3 of a family narrowly escapes

way2barak, Dec.21: Three members of a family narrowly escaped, as the car in which they were travelling suddenly caught fire. The incident took place on Wednesday near the main gate of GC College, Silchar. As per reports, one Gouri Shankar Goala, a resident of Palonghat was on his way to his rented house at College Road, Silchar. Suddenly, when he reached near the main gate of GC College, fire broke out inside his car.

Meanwhile, somehow Gouri Shankar Goala and his family members came out of the vehicle. People from the vicinity reached the spot and informed the fire service. Fire brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flames. However, by that time, the entire car was burnt to ashes. Later on narrating the ordeal, Gouri Shankar Goala said, “By God’s grace, today we were saved. It was a dangerous situation.”
