DC & SP Cachar visits vulnerable polling stations of Silchar LAC

Jan. 17: A joint inspection was undertaken by the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli & Superintendent of Police, Cachar, Bhanwar Lal Meena in the Vulnerable Polling Stations of Silchar LAC on Saturday. It needs mention here that a few days ago both of them also conducted a joint verification to check suitability of the Auxiliary Polling Stations of Silchar LAC. As per sources, there were a total of 1464 polling booths in Cachar district. However, as precautionary measures due to COVID-19, 372 polling stations will be increased.
