India’s Longest! Chennai Gets Rs 2 Km Steel Flyover

way2barak, October 1: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Wednesday inaugurated India’s longest and city’s first steel flyover in Chennai’s Thiyagaraya Nagar. The flyover has been named after late MLA J Anbazhagan, as it will be called J Anbazhagan flyover.
The 2-km-long steel flyover will connect South Usman Road with CIT Nagar Main Road in T. Nagar.
Built at a cost of Rs 164.92 crore, the steel flyover has been constructed with 53 steel pillars, using 3,800 tonnes of steel.
The flyover is expected to ease traffic congestion in T Nagar and reduce travel times for motorists from several areas, including Guindy, Saidapet, and Nungambakkam.
