Hostels in residential & day boarding schools to reopen in Assam for Class I to X

Oct. 9: Due to improved Covid-19 situation in the state, the Government of Assam after due consideration of all parameters has notified that the hostels in residential schools/ day boarding schools are allowed to function for Class IX and X with effect from 19 October, 2021 and for Class I to VIII with effect from 1 November, 2021 until further orders. While reopening these, Covid protocols are to be maintained punctually by the institutions. An order to this efect was issued by B. Kalyan Chakraborty, Principal Secretary to the Govt of Assam, Education Department on 8 October, 2021.
