Cachar district BJP files FIR against Badruddin Ajmal for derogatory comments against Hindus
way2barak, Dec.6: AIUDF supremo Moulana Badruddin Ajmal has been in the eye of a storm for one of his comments against the Hindus. In this connection, multiple FIR’s were lodged in various parts of Assam. On Tuesday, Cachar district BJP too filed an FIR at Silchar Sadar Police Station. A delegation led by District BJP President Bimolendu Roy handed over the FIR at the police station.
In the FIR, Cachar district BJP wrote, “On 2nd December, 2022 Md. Badruddin Azmal, M.P. Dhubri Constituency made some derogatory and unconstitutional statements against Hindus and our Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, which insulted our religious feelings, promoting enmity between two classes… Mr. Azmal commented that Hindu do not marry before 40 years and have 1, 2 or 3 illegal wives before marriage and they don’t give birth to babies in order to save cost and also made some offensive remarks on ‘love Jihad’ targeting our Hon’ble Chief Minister.”
“All those above statements are made by him were deliberate and malicious intention to outrage the religious feelings of Hindu community which were widely circulated in various social media platforms as well as National, State, Regional, and Local News papers,” stated the BJP in the FIR. On the basis of the above, they urged upon the police to arrest Md. Badruddin Azmal immediately and take stringent action against him by registering a case under proper sections of law.
