Robbery in a shop at Silchar Hospital Road, cash & other items worth Rs.7 lakh stolen

Oct. 29: Robbers looted a shop in the heart of Silchar town in the night on 27 October, 2020. At around 1 PM on Tuesday, thieves entered ‘Machinery Tools & Equipments at Hospital Road, Silchar. Prima facie evidence led to the assumption that the robbers entered inside the shop after breaking a ventilator. The owner of the shop Rohit Bhati lodged an FIR at Rangirkhari Town Outpost on 28 October.

In the FIR, Rohit Bhati stated that the robbers have stolen Rs.35,000 from his cash box. Apart from this, a laptop and other machinery items worth approximately Rs. lakh were also stolen from the shop. On the basis of the FIR, police is conducting an investigation.
