Assam University to conduct free coaching of Civil Services Exam for SC candidates; entrance on 31 July

June 7: Applications were invited from the Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates ONLY for admission to Free Coaching of Civil Services Examination (Preliminary and Main) to be offered by the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, Assam University, Silchar under the scheme of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The intake capacity is 100. The duration of the course is one year.

The willing candidates must hold a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification. The age limit should be 21 to 37 years. The selection of the candidates will be done through a Common Entrance Test (CET). The CET will be based on 100 MCQ’s. 33% of seats reserved for women. The CET will be conducted by the DACE-AUS on 31 July, 2022.

The syllabus of the entrance test is given below:

1. General Studies (50 marks): Indian History, Geography, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, General Science, including Science & technology, Current Affairs, Sports & General Knowledge.
2. General English (25 Marks)
3. Numerical Ability & Reasoning (25 Marks)

The candidates shall have to attach the following documents while applying:

• One passport size photo
• Self attested copy of age proof certificate
• Self attested copies of Mark sheets, & certificates from HSLC upto highest degree
• Self attested copy of SC certificate

Filled in applications are to be submitted in a sealed envelope to: Dr. Aditi Nath, Programme Coordinator, DACE, Social Work Department, Assam University, Silchar-788011, Cachar, Assam. The envelope is to be superscribed: “Application for Admission for Free Coaching for Scheduled Caste Candidates for Civil Service Examinations (UPSC).”
