Former CM Tarun Gogoi hospitalised again
Nov. 2: Former Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi was hospitalised again on Sunday night. He was rushed to Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) after he complained of breathing problems. He was then kept n the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of GMCH. As per medical sources, Gogoi was suffering from carbon dioxide retention. He is in ICU in Noninvasive ventilation (NIV).
Earlier, Tarun Gogoi was discharged from Guwahati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) on 25 October after 60 days of hospitalisation. His further treatment was to continue in his official residence under the supervision of the doctors from medical college. Tarun Gogoi tested COVID-19 positive on 26 August and was admitted at Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH). A team of 9 doctors under the Chairmanship of Dr Jogesh Sarma, HOD, Pulmonary Medicine Department of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital (GMCH) was constituted to monitor the health status of Tarun Gogoi, former Chief Minister of Assam.
