Assam Olympic Association ask all DSAs to light lamp to cheer Lovlina for her Olympics match

July 25: Lovlina Borgohain from Assam has gone to Tokyo for participating in the Olympics. Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has made an appeal to support Lovlina, the daughter of Assam. Responding to the appeal of the Chief Minister, Assam Olympic Association is going to conduct a lamp lightening programme on 26 July, 2021 at 6 PM in Nehru Stadium to cheer up Lovlina Borgohain for her match of 27 July, 2021 to be held at Tokyo Olympic 2020.

It is in this connection that, Lakhya Konwar, General Secretary of Assam Olympic Association has written a letter to all District Sports Associotions in the state, wherein he has requested to light lamps at the district level “according to their convenience and cheer up Lovlina Borgohain.”

Lovlina Borgohain is an Indian amateur woman boxer who won bronze medal at the 2018 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships and the 2019 AIBA Women’s World Boxing Championships.
