Earthquake measuring 4.2 strikes Assam again
June 19: An earthquake measuring 4.2 (status reviewed) on the Richter scale, jolted Assam and its adjoining areas at 1.07 AM on Saturday. As per National Center for Seismology (NCS), it was stated, “Earthquake of Magnitude:4.2, Occurred on 19-06-2021, 01:07:32 IST, Lat: 26.72 & Long: 92.40, Depth: 30 Km ,Location: 39km W of Tezpur, Assam, India” However, there were no report of any casualties till the filing of this report.
Also, an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit Assam’s Tezpur on 18 June. Further, on 17 June, three low intensity earthquakes hit Assam, Manipur and Meghalaya.
