Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath appointed as Registrar of Assam University for the second term
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নিবন্ধক পদে দ্বিতীয় বার নিযুক্তি পেলেন ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৯ অক্টোবর : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নিবন্ধক পদে দ্বিতীয় বার নিযুক্তি পেলেন ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ। সোমবার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কার্যনির্বাহ পরিষদ নিবন্ধক পদে দ্বিতীয় বারের জন্য তাঁর নামে সিলমোহর দেয়। এরপরই উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক রাজীব মোহন পন্থ অন্য পদস্থ আধিকারিকদের উপস্থিতিতে ড. নাথের হাতে এই নিযুক্তিপত্র তুলে দেন।

প্রসঙ্গত, আগামী ১৯ ডিসেম্বর বর্তমান নিবন্ধক পদে ড. নাথের পাঁচ বছর মেয়াদের কার্যকাল শেষ হচ্ছে। তাই এই পদে নতুন নিযুক্তির জন্য সরকারি নিয়ম অনুযায়ী ক’মাস আগেই বিজ্ঞপ্তি জারি করা হয়। এতে বেশ ক’টি আবেদনপত্রও জমা পড়ে। সেইসব আবেদনের ভিত্তিতে গত শনিবার নিবন্ধক পদের সাক্ষাৎকার নেয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিলেকশন কমিটি। এই সিলেকশন কমিটিতে বিভিন্ন কেন্দ্রীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের উপাচার্য সহ অন্য পদস্থ প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিকরা ছিলেন।

গত সোমবার রাষ্ট্রপতি তথা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ভিজিটরের প্রতিনিধির উপস্থিতিতে আয়োজিত কার্যনির্বাহ পরিষদের বৈঠকে নিবন্ধক পদে সিলেকশন কমিটির সুপারিশে ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথকে দ্বিতীয় বারের জন্য নিবন্ধক পদে নিযুক্তি দেওয়া হয়। ড. নাথের এই নিযুক্তিতে খুশির হাওয়া বইছে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়েও। কর্মতৎপর তথা প্রশাসনিক দক্ষ এমন ব্যক্তিকে ফের একই আসনে পেয়ে উল্লসিত কর্মী-আধিকারিক মহল। উল্লেখ্য, আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের ইতিহাসে ড. প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথই একমাত্র নিবন্ধক যিনি দ্বিতীয় বার নিযুক্তি পেলেন।

Way2barak, 29 October :  Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath has been appointed as Registrar of Assam University for the second term. On Monday, the University Executive Council sealed his name for the second time as Registrar. After that, Vice-Chancellor Professor Rajive Mohan Pant handed over the appointment letter to Dr. Nath in the presence of other senior officials.

According to sources, Dr. Nath’s five-year term as the current Registrar is ending on December 19. Therefore, an advertisement was issued a few months ago as per the government rules for a new appointment to this post. Several applications were also submitted in it. Based on those applications, the university selection committee conducted an interview for the post of Registrar last Saturday.

Last Monday, in the meeting of the Executive Council held in the presence of the Representative of the President of India cum University Visitor, Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath was appointed as the Registrar for the second time on the recommendation of the Selection Committee. Dr. Nath’s appointment is also a source of joy in the university.

The staff and officials are happy to have such a hard-working and administratively skilled person in the same position again. It is worth noting that Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath is the only Registrar in the history of Assam University who was appointed for the second term.
