DIG(SR) hold meeting with all Durga Puja committees of Silchar town

way2barak, Sept.20: On Monday, a meeting was held at Drill Shed, Police Reserve, Silchar with the presidents and secretaries of various Durga Puja committees of Silchar town to ensure peaceful Durga Puja. Kankan Jyoti Saikia, DIG(SR), Assam presided over the meeting.

Various issues like deployment of volunteers, installation of CCTV , fire fighting equipment, Electrical Fitness, Guarding of pandals, Lighting etc along with the DOs and DONTs pertaining to Durga Puja celebration was elaborately discussed. Before the culmination, valuable suggestions made by the elderly members of puja committees were noted.
