শিলচরে ইউবিআই কর্মীদের সাফাই অভিযান
‘Swachhata’ Mission undertaken by Silchar UBI

১ অক্টোবর : দেশজুড়ে শুরু হওয়া স্বচ্ছতাই সেবা অভিযানের অঙ্গ হিসেবে সাফাই কর্মসূচিতে নামল ইউনাইটেড ব্যাংক অব ইন্ডিয়ার শিলচর আঞ্চলিক কার্যালয়। এ দিন শহরের সেন্ট্রাল রোডে ঝাড়ু হাতে ব্যাংকের কর্মীরা রাস্তায় নামেন।

চিফ রিজিওনাল ম্যানেজার বিজয় যোশির নেতৃত্বে অন্য চার চিফ ম্যানেজার মণিরাম বসুমাতারি, সুহাস চৌধুরী, দিব্যেন্দু জানা ও রবীন্দ্র দে ছাড়াও ছিলেন ব্যাংকের সব কর্মী ও আধিকারিকরা। এই সাফাই অভিযানে মহিলা কর্মীরাও অংশ নেন।
প্রথমে তারা সেন্ট্রাল রোডের কিছু অংশ সাফাই করেন। এরপর ব্যাংকের ভেতরেও সাফাইয়ে হাত লাগান সবাই।

পরবর্তীতে শহরের দেবদূত পয়েন্ট ও এএসটিসি সংলগ্ন রাস্তা সাফাইয়ে এগিয়ে যান। এই অভিযানে প্রায় ২৫-৩০ জন কর্মী অংশ নিয়েছেন। প্রসঙ্গত, গত ১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে শুরু হওয়া দেশব্যাপী স্বচ্ছতাই সেবা কর্মসূচির অধীনে ইউবিআই কর্মীরা এই সাফাই অভিযানের আয়োজন করেন।

October 1: “Swachhata Hi Seva.’ Keeping in tune with this clarion call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Regional branch of United Bank of India (UBI), Silchar undertook a cleanliness drive on Monday morning. On this day, the officers and staff of UBI were seen to accomplish Mission Cleanliness in front of their office at Central Road with broom in their hands.

This ‘Swachhata’ drive was led from the front by the Chief Regional manager of UBI Bijay Joshi. He was accompanied by 4 other Chief Managers—Maniram Basumatari, Suhash Choudhury, Dibyendu Jena and Rabindra Dey. Even the female employees of UBI took part in this mission. After cleaning the main road near their branch, they also cleaned their office premises.

Later on, they also advanced towards the road near Devdoot point. Around 25 to 30 staff participated in this cleanliness drive over there. It needs mention here that this mission was undertaken by UBI keeping in tune with the ‘Swachhata’ drive undertaken countrywide from 15 September onwards.
