Daffodils School distribute study materials at Kalyan Ashram
November 14: In an exceptional programme, organized at Banabashi Kalyan Ashram, Silchar, the Students and teachers of Daffodils School distributed study materials among 37 children (29 inmates and 7 differently-able). On Wednesday, Daffodils Schools distributed the study materials in a programme which was organised by SAKHAM NGO in collaboration with Banabashi Kalyan Ashram.
A noteworthy feature of aspect of the day was a colourful cultural programme in which the differently-able inmates made some spectacular presentations. Rudrani Das, a visually impaired child sang a melodious song.
Speaking during the occasion, Sandipan Dutta Purkayastha said that Daffodils took up this venture as a part of Children’s Day Celebration. “We were very satisfied to see smile in the faces of the children of Kalyan Ashram,” said Sandipan, a teacher of Daffodils.
The Guest of Honour of the programme was Subrata Dey, Principal of Daffodils School. Babi Dutta Dey, the Vice Principal of the school also participated in the event. Also present during the occasion were Rajarshi Das, Gobindalal Chakraborty, Rajesh Das and others. The programme was compered by Mithun Roy, Secretary of South Assam of SAKHAM.
