Flood: Indian Air Force rescues 35 railway staff & their families from Daotuhaja station

May 17: After successful evacuation of 1000 stranded passengers from Ditokcherra by train, the remaining 119 passengers were airlifted to Silchar with the help Indian Air Force on 15 May. This was stated in an official release by Northeast Frontier Railway on Sunday late afternoon. NF Railway has also shared visuals of passengers being airlifted in their official twitter handle.

Indian Air Force continued airlift and rescue operation for 2nd day. Around 35 railway employees and their family members were successfully rescued from Daotuhaja Railway station by 2 helicopters of Indian Air Force.
