New political party floated in Assam by AASU & AJYCP

Sept.14: Pulling curtains on the long drawn suspense, finally a new political party was formed in Assam by All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP). The party was named as Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP). The new party aims to overthrow the current BJP-led coalition government in the state. The party formed on Monday will launch its membership drive from Tuesday.
