Assam cabinet takes decision to prepare service rules for medical college & hospital critical care service

Dec. 13: A meeting of the State Council of Ministers was held in Guwahati on Sunday. The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. A number of important decisions were taken in this meeting:

  • Holiday list for 2021 has been approved. The new holiday list comprises of 34 general holidays and 31 restricted holidays.
  • Provision has been made for rehabilitation of erosion affected people for three categories. Financial aid to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh, Rs. I.5 lakh and Rs. I Iakh will be provided.
  • Approval for establishment of Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) for Tea Tribal Welfare Department (at a fixed price per year).
  • Medical college and hospital critical care service rule will be prepared
  • The word ‘MIRI’ will now be officially changed to ‘MISING’.
  • Assam Mala: Simplification of land rules for direct purchase of land.
  • New Act proposal for micro financial institutions in line with the guidelines of Reserve Bank of India.
  • A proposal to be placed in the upcoming session of Assam Assembly for the abolition of Acts of Madrasa and Sanskrit tolls.
  •  Agricultural income tax discount for three years
  • Approval in new policy for Agarwood cutivation
  • Under the Ease of doing business, Private educational institutions will have to take online permission.
