Sabir Nishat takes charge as Deputy Director in-charge of I&PR, Barak Valley Region

July 20: District Information and Public Relations Officer (DIPRO) of Hailakandi, Sabir Nishat has been entrusted to look after day-to-day works of Office of Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations (I & PR), Barak Valley Region, Silchar as Incharge Deputy Director. In this connection, Sabir Nishat took over charge as the Deputy Director, in-charge of I & PR, Barak Valley Region on Monday. Assuming charge, Nishat in a message to the media fraternity sought their support and cooperation in the coming days.

In a notification issued to this effect by Commissioner and Secretary, Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Assam on 1 July, Nishat has been asked to look after the Office of Deputy Director, Information and Public Relations, Barak Valley Region, Silchar as Incharge Deputy Director in addition to his duties as DIPRO, Hailakandi.

Nishat joined as DIPRO, Hailakandi in 2016 and after a few months he was transferred and posted as Incharge Deputy Director, Assam Information Centre, New Delhi. After a nine-month stint in Delhi, he was transferred and posted again to Hailakandi in 2017.
