Cancer, heart surgery & kidney patients stuck outside Assam to be given financial aid: Himanta
April 10: In an important announcement, state Finance Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that those cancer patients undergoing treatment outside Assam and are stuck now due to lockdown will be provided financial aid by the state government. Further, financial help will also be provided by the state government to those persons who are also struck outside the state and had gone out for kidney transplant or heart operation.

All such patients from Assam who were unable to return back to the state were asked to call 0361-2558955 and inform about there whereabouts. They were then asked to WhatsApp their details of bank account along with IFSC code to 6901281862. If possible, they were also asked by the minister to whatapp the front page of their bank passbook.
