Business & commercial establishment without trade license are to renew it by 15 June: SMB

June 3: All shop owners of business/ commercial establishment those who are running their business within the municipal area without trade license were asked by Silchar Municipal Board (SMB) to apply for their trade license within 15 June, 2020, failing which SMB will be resorting to legal action as per relevant provisions of the act.

The order issued by SMB Executive Officer Sumit Sattavan further stated that those who have yet not renewed their trade license till date should renew the same immediately.Those applying for trade license within 15 June, 2020 will not be charged any late penalty. It was also stated that Trade License of the current financial year should be displayed inside the shops so that Municipal staff can see it on entering the shops.
