BSF along with Karimganj Police seizes 20,000 Yaba tablets worth ₹1 crore

Sept. 1: Acting on a tip off, the search operation team of 7 Bn Border Security Force (BSF) and Karimganj Police, intercepted an auto rickshaw coming from Karimganj town to Balia area near Sharnibari market in the district. The suspect carrying the seized items fled the scene due to darkness, but dropped a packet consisting Yaba tablets.

The police party along with officer in-charged reached the spot and carried out search of the polythene packet and recovered 20,000 Yaba tablets amounting to rupees one crore. The seized items have been handed over to Karimganj Police for further legal action in the case.
