BJP President Amit Shah admitted to AIIMS, diagnosed with swine flu

January 16: Amit Shah, President of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Wednesday. Amit Shah was diagnosed with swine flu. In a tweet Shah wrote, “I am diagnosed with swine flu for which my treatment is going on. By God’s grace and good wishes of you all, I shall recover soon.”

As per reports, Mr. Shah was admitted to AIIMS at about 9 PM on Wednesday following complaints of chest congestion and breathing problems. A team of doctors were monitoring the condition of the BJP President at AIIMS.

Swine flu is a respiratory disease caused by a strain of the H1N1 influenza. The strain originated in pigs, but is now a human disease whose symptoms are similar to those of a seasonal flu.
