Assam University fraternity along with the VC takes pledge for integrity
Oct. 29: Vice Chancellor of Assam University Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Registrar Dr PK Nath, Chief Vigilance Officer Prof GP Pandey along with Pandey along with teaching and non-teaching staff took the pledge for integrity in the varsity campus. The integrity pledges are non-binding social contracts through which participants announce their commitment to act against corruption.
The Vice Chancellor administered the integrity pledge to officers and staff on eradication of corruption in all spheres of public life while inaugurating the Vigilance Awareness Week. The officers and staff of the division resolved to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life, to neither take nor offer bribe, to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner, to act in public interest, to lead by example exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour.
Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated every year during the birthday week of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During the week-long Vigilance Awareness campaign, various activities like conducting online/ offline seminars and other related awareness activities are being carried out in various locations. The Vigilance Awareness Week is observed from 26 October 2021 to 1 November 2021 with the theme of “Independent India @ 75: Self Reliance with Integrity”.
