Assam University and Assam Skill University Sign MoU to Strengthen Academic and Research
প্রযুক্তি শিক্ষার প্রসারে হাত মিলাল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ও স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটি

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৬ মে : উচ্চশিক্ষা, গবেষণা ও দক্ষতা উন্নয়নের ক্ষেত্রে পারস্পরিক সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধির লক্ষ্যে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স বিভাগ ও আসাম স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির ইনফরমেশন টেকনোলজি বিভাগের মধ্যে এক সমঝোতা চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। সোমবার মঙ্গলদৈয়ে আসাম স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটিতে এই চুক্তি স্বাক্ষর করা হয়।

এদিন স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির প্রশাসনিক ভবনে এ উপলক্ষে এক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। এতে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পক্ষ থেকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক প্রদীপ্ত দাস, অধ্যাপক পঙ্কজ কুমার দেব শর্মা ও ড. রাহুল কুমার চাওড়া। আসাম স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির পক্ষে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রেজিস্ট্রার হানিফ নুরানি, ইনফরমেশন টেকনোলজির ডিন তথা বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপক এম কে ডেকা, ড. মুনসিফা ফিরদৌস খান বড়ভুঁইয়া, ড. আবদুল হান্নান, ড. উৎপল বর্মন সহ অন্যরা।

বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে অধ্যাপক এম কে ডেকা উভয় প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিদের অভিনন্দন জানিয়ে বলেন, এই সহযোগিতা দুই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মধ্যে শিক্ষা ও গবেষণামূলক কার্যক্রমকে আরও শক্তিশালী করবে। এই সমঝোতা চুক্তির ফলে শিক্ষার্থী ও শিক্ষক বিনিময় কর্মসূচি, যৌথ গবেষণা কার্যক্রম ও ইন্টার্নশিপের সুযোগ সম্প্রসারণের বিষয়ে উভয় প্রতিষ্ঠান একমত হয়েছে। এর পাশাপাশি, দুই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসনিক অনুমোদন সাপেক্ষে আসাম স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির উদ্যোগে চতুর্থ আন্তর্জাতিক সম্মেলন ‘অমৃত-২০২৬’ আয়োজনের প্রস্তাবও গৃহীত হয়েছে।

আগামী জুলাই মাসে আসাম স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির শিক্ষক ও শিক্ষার্থীদের একটি প্রতিনিধি দল আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়, শিলচর সফর করবে বলেও জানানো হয়েছে। এছাড়া সমঝোতা স্মারকে উল্লিখিত কর্মসূচিগুলির বাস্তবায়ন ও ভবিষ্যৎ সম্প্রসারণ নিয়ে শীঘ্রই উভয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কর্মকর্তারা পুনরায় বৈঠকে বসবেন।

বক্তারা আশা প্রকাশ করে বলেন, এই অংশীদারিত্ব উত্তর-পূর্বাঞ্চলে উচ্চশিক্ষা ও গবেষণার মানোন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করবে। পাশাপাশি, অঞ্চলের এবং দেশের ক্রমবর্ধমান চাহিদা পূরণের লক্ষ্যে দক্ষ প্রযুক্তিবিদ, প্রকৌশলী ও উদ্যোক্তা গড়ে তুলতেও এই উদ্যোগ সহায়ক হবে। প্রসঙ্গত, সমঝোতা চুক্তিতে স্বাক্ষর করেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রেজিস্ট্রার প্রদোষ কিরণ নাথ ও স্কিল ইউনিভার্সিটির রেজিস্ট্রার হানিফ নুরানি।

Way2barak, May 26 : In a significant step towards enhancing cooperation in higher education, research, and skill development, the Department of Computer Science of Assam University and the Department of Information Technology of Assam Skill University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The agreement was formally signed on Monday at Assam Skill University in Mangaldai.

A special programme was organized at the Administrative Building of Assam Skill University to mark the occasion. Representing Assam University were Head of the Department Prof. Pradipta Das, Prof. Pankaj Kumar Dev Sharma, and Dr. Rahul Kumar Chawda. Assam Skill University was represented by Registrar Hanif Nurani, Dean and Head of the Department of Information Technology Prof. M. K. Deka, Dr. Munsifa Firdaus Khan Barbhuiya, Dr. Abdul Hannan, Dr. Utpal Barman, and other faculty members and officials.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. M. K. Deka congratulated the representatives of both institutions and stated that the collaboration would further strengthen academic and research activities between the two universities. Under the MoU, both institutions have agreed to promote student and faculty exchange programmes, undertake joint research initiatives, and expand internship opportunities for students. The two universities have also agreed, subject to administrative approval, to collaborate in organizing the Fourth International Conference, “AMRIT-2026,” an initiative of Assam Skill University.

It was further announced that a delegation of faculty members and students from Assam Skill University will visit Assam University, Silchar, in July. Officials from both universities are also expected to hold follow-up meetings soon to discuss the implementation and future expansion of the programmes outlined in the MoU.

The speakers expressed optimism that this partnership would play an important role in improving the quality of higher education and research in Northeast India. They also noted that the initiative would contribute to developing skilled technologists, engineers, and entrepreneurs capable of meeting the growing demands of the region and the nation. The MoU was formally signed by Assam University Registrar Pradosh Kiran Nath and Assam Skill University Registrar Hanif Nurani.
