ASSAM RIFLES INSTALLED FOUR SOLAR STREET LIGHTS AT DIMA HASAO

way2barak, Feb 6 : Haflong Battalion of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles East installed Four Solar Street Lights at Boro Chenam village of Dima Hasao district, Assam under the Assam Rifles Civic Action Project 2022-23 (AR CAP) on 06 February 2023.

The Boro Chenam village of Dima Hasao district is located in the interior part of district where there is no stable electric supply due to which villagers especially ladies and children were facing difficulty during hours of darkness. The village authorities of the Boro Chenam village approached Assam Rifles Battalion location at Haflong to provide Solar Street Lights and based on their request the Battalion immediately processed the project under AR CAP 2022-23. Keeping the security and safety of the villagers in mind, the Assam Rifles swiftly procured required stores and installed Four Solar Street Lights on 06 February 2023 to cover all critical areas of the village.

The civil administration, village authorities and the local populace of the village conveyed their profound and sincere gratitude to the Assam Rifles for installing the Solar Street Lights which is one of the basic essential amenities. These kinds of initiatives by Assam Rifles further strengthen the existing bond between local public and security forces and pave way for many such noble endeavours in future.
