Son did not attend last rites of the deceased COVID-19 patient as all are in quarantine centre

১০ এপ্রিল: ফয়জুল হক বড়ভুইয়ার শেষকৃত্যে তাঁর পরিবারের কেউ উপস্থিত ছিলেন না৷ তাঁরা সবাই কোয়রান্টাইন শিবিরের দোতলা থেকেই তাঁর উদ্দেশে শেষশ্রদ্ধা জানান৷ জানিয়েছেন রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী ড. হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মা৷ তিনি বলেন, এই সময়ে তাঁর স্ত্রী-পুত্র সহ সবাই সরকারি কোয়রান্টাইনে রয়েছেন৷

স্থানীয় এক সূত্রে সকালে জানা গিয়েছিল, পরিবারের পক্ষে শুধুমাত্র এক ছেলে ফয়জুল হককে কবরস্থ করার সময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন৷পরে খোঁজখবর করে এবং শেষে মন্ত্রী হিমন্ত বিশ্ব শর্মার বক্তব্যে স্পষ্ট হল, এই তথ্য ঠিক নয়৷ ছেলে সহ সবাই কবরস্থানে যাওয়ার বদলে কোয়রান্টাইন শিবির থেকেই প্রয়াতের উদ্দেশে শেষশ্রদ্ধা জ্ঞাপন করেছেন৷

April 10: None from the immediate family members of the deceased COVID-19 patients were present while his last rites were performed. All of them offered their last homage from the 2nd floor of the quarantine centre. As per protocol, none from quarantine is allowed to come outside. This was informed by the state Health Minister. At present, the wife along with her wards are all in govt quarantine centre.

A local source in the morning informed that one of the son of the deceased was present during his burial. However, later on after enquiry and subsequent press meet of the health minister, it became evident that this information was not correct, his son was not there. It needs to be reiterated that his son along with other family members were in the quarantine centre.
