Leo Club of Silchar Greater & Leo Club of Karimganj Centurion celebrates ‘Baishe Srabon’

August 8: Leo Club of Silchar Greater in association with Leo Club of Karimganj Centurion has successfully conducted a cultural evening with in-house performances on the occasion of “Baishe Srabon” (the 79th birth anniversary of the Nobel Laureate, Rabindranath Tagore). The program was conducted from the Facebook page of Leo Club of Silchar Greater.

Leo Debosmita Biswas, the President of Leo Club of Silchar Greater was the moderator of the program and the welcome speech was delivered by Leo Saurav Das, the President of Leo Club of Karimganj Centurion. The program was organised by focusing on different subjects like song, dance, recitation, act, instrumentation.
Leo Nilakshi Bhattacharjee was the 1st performer of the evening and she mesmerised the audience with her beautiful voice. Sweta Roy recited two of Tagore’s poem relating the present situation which was highly appreciated.

Aparajita Roy marked the evening with her beautiful dance performances on Tagore’s song. Arjayeeta Paul was successful in spreading love and calmness among the audience by combining Tagore’s melody with Krishna’s flute. Neha Chakraborty, by her sitting act won everyone’s heart. Last but not the least, Leo Bisak Deb marked the concluded the programme with his mesmerizing guitar instrumental on ‘Purono shei diner kotha’, depicting the situations when we were free and want to go back to those days again. The overall technical parts of the programme was efficiently controlled by the host, Subhajit Das, the Secretary of Leo Club of Silchar Greater.

The programme was graced by the warm presence of many Lions and Leo dignitaries. Lion Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, Zone Chairperson – 12 of Lions district 322G cum the Leo advisor; the President of Lions Club of Silchar Greater Lion Anoop Dutta, Leo Rishab Bajaj, District President of Leo district 322G; Leo Rakesh Ghosh, District Administrator Leo district 322G; Leo Nandini Bhattacharjee, Deputy District Secretary Leo district 322G and many more were present. The moderator Leo Debosmita Biswas conveyed gratitude and thanks to all the audience and the members of both the clubs for their presence and making the event a grand success.
