44 Assam Police Personnel Test COVID-19 positive

June 29: A total of 44 Assam Police personnel have tested COVID-19 positive from across Assam. Sharing this information, G.P. Singh, ADGP (Law and Order) tweeted on 28 June, “Continuing to serve the people of Assam during Covid pandemic, 44 @assampolice personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 till June 28th 2020. 1127 personnel are under quarantine. They are all in high spirits.”

On 29 June, the ADGP again tweeted, wherein he wrote, “Seven police personnel of Guwahati City Police who were Covid positive have recovered and discharged from hospital.” In another tweet on Monday, he wrote, “Seven police personnel of Guwahati City Police who were Covid positive have recovered and discharged from hospital.”

On Monday again, ADGP tweeted, “Woman Constable of Karimganj DEF who tested COVID-19 positive has been released today from the Civil Hospital, Karimganj and has been escorted to her home by the OC, Bazaricherra Police Station.”
