1,213 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 2,775 discharged & 20 deaths registered
There are 22,155 active Covid cases in Assam
July 4: On Sunday, out of 53,848 tests, 1,213 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,17,194. The positivity rate in the state is 2.25 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 140 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 20 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 4,652. The recovery rate is 94.56 percent.
It needs mention here that on Saturday, 2,375 persons tested positive in Assam and 28 deaths were registered.
On Sunday, 2,775 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 4,89,040 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 94.54 percent. At present, there are 22,155 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 20 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 20 deceased, 03 each are from Morigaon & Nagaon; 02 from Dibrugarh; 01 each from Baksa, Barpeta, Biswanath, Cachar, Darrang, Golaghat, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Karbi Anglong & Tinsukia. The death tally of the state now stands at 4,652.
