Another 2 Covid-19 +ve patients expired at Silchar Medical College on Friday

April 30: Deaths continued to occur in Cachar in the 2nd consecutive day. Two more deaths were registered at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH) on Friday. Out of the two, one of them is from Cachar, while the other is from Hailakandi district. This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday. The two deceased are:

• Moni Rani Das (65) from Trunk Road, Police Quarters, Silchar was admitted at SMCH on 24 April after testing Covid positive. She, however, died on 30 April at 8.15 AM.
• Pappu Nath (26) from Katlicherra in Hailakandi also took admission at SMCH  on 22 April. He breathed his last at 5.15 PM on 30 April.

It needs mention here that on 29 April also, two Covid-19 positive patients died at SMCH. They were Amal Das (50) of Ashram Road, Silchar and Sandhya Bhattacharjee (84) of Athal Basti in Cachar.
