All educational institutes in districts of Assam to be closed where Covid cases is over 300 in last 10 days
April 27: In a latest notification by the Assam Government on Tuesday, it was stated that all educational institutions including coaching centres and hostels will be closed in districts as and when the total COVID-19 cases exceeds 300 in last 10 days. Such institutes will remain shut for 15 days. It was further stated that the online mode of education should be made available to the students. The order shall come into force with immediate effect.
The Deputy Commissioners & Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) were authorized to pass such closure orders as and when situation arises as per the notification.

As Cachar district has already exceeded the figure of 300, it means that all educational institutions over here from pre primary to university level will remain closed with immediate effect. However, a relevant order from the Deputy Commissioner is required for closure of the educational institutions in the district.
