Assam Rifles seizes 55 bags of Areca Nuts worth Rs 7.7 Lakh in Mizoram

April 14: The Serchhip Battalion of Assam Rifles and the Mizoram Custom Prevention Force has recovered 55 bags of areca nuts worth Rs 7.7 lakh at Rauntlang in Champhai district of Mizoram. The team also apprehended an individual in connection to it. The contraband items were meant to be smuggled out across the Indo-Myanmar international border.
