2 Assam journalists held for blackmailing wine shop owner, case registered

Jan. 6: Two journalists from Assam were arrested on alleged blackmailing a wine shop owner in Sivasagar on Wednesday. As per reports, the two journalists, Rintu Senchowa and Chandan Gogoi were allegedly demanding Rs 1 lakh from a wine shop owner since 2 January, 2021. A case has been registered under case no 01/2021 of Gaurisagar Police Station on 6 January.
