Death toll in Assam inching towards 1000; 2 more dies due to COVID-19 on Tuesday

Dec. 8: On Tuesday, two more persons lost their lives in Assam due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state has now reached 997. This was confirmed in a tweet by State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The 02 deceased were identified as:

• Rudra Khound (75) of Golaghat
• Monomai Terangpi (61) of Karbi Anglong
