COBSE conference at Guwahati to stop question paper leak
November 15: In an important development, the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) has decided to take in hand a full proof strategy to stop leakage of question papers across the country. In this regard, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) and Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) has jointly organised the annual conference of COBSE at Guwahati today.
The COBSE annual conference which began today will continue till 17 November. About 60 education boards, including the CBSE and CISCE will jointly formulate strategies to prevent question paper leakage. This national level conference, which began today morning was inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at Administrative Staff College, Guwahati. Representatives of the member education boards of COBSE from Mauritius, Bhutan and Nepal also participated in this conference.
The requirement of integrity in conducting exams is the main theme of the brainstorming session which will be held for these two days for chalking out plans to initiate reforms in the exam process. The problem of integrity pertaining to various stakeholders of the exam process will be discussed throughout the day. It is expected that the conference will come up with ways and means to check the menace of question paper leakage in the future.
