Assam govt extends temporarily suspension of all interviews for selection of college teachers

Nov. 9: In a notification issued by G. Phukan, Director of Higher Education (DHE), Government of Assam on 31 October, all interviews for the selection of college teachers and librarians were temporarily suspended in the state till 9 November. However, once again on 9 November, DHE Assam issued another circular wherein the suspension of conduct of interviews of college teachers and librarians were further prohibited till further order.

In the notification issued on 9 Nov, the DHE wrote, “With reference to this office letter No.DHE/PA/Order/ 16/2016/154, dated 31-10-2020, you are further requested to temporarily suspend all interviews for selection of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor/ Librarian in your college until further order from this end due to administrative reasons.” The Principal of all provincialised colleges of Assam were issued the direction by the DHE Assam.
