Union Minister Smriti Irani tests COVID-19 positive

Oct. 28: Union Minister for Textiles & Women & Child Development Smriti Irani tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. This was announced by the minister herself in a tweet on Wednesday evening. She further urged upon those who came in contact with her to get themselves tested. She wrote, “It is rare for me to search for words while making an announcement; hence here’s me keeping it simple — I’ve tested positive for #COVID and would request those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested at the earliest.”
